Oakland has always been blessed with great potential. Located in the epicenter of the Bay Area, it has beautiful geography, great weather and a well laid out city center. I began investing in Oakland in 1983 because of its potential. I knew that housing would be a good investment. It became my goal to increase and improve the housing stock in Oakland. It was also a great way to get involved and give back to the community in which I grew up. That was 40 years ago.

 

When you invest in a community you are saying that you believe in the future of that community. This is a great market, complimented by ample open space and public transportation.

The Jobs and Housing Coalition is a coalition of caring business and community minded individuals that are interested in providing quality living, jobs and housing in the city of Oakland. We create coalitions throughout all Oakland’s communities. We work with key stakeholders with the goal of creating the policies with them that will improve the quality of life for all who live and work in Oakland.

As the chair of the Jobs and Housing Coalition I have been fortunate to collaborate with members who share a common vision and join forces to help make Oakland all it can be.
